Profile.ini - Full List of Parameters

I regularly create custom resolution/bitrate profiles by editing the profile.ini file.

However, I was wondering if anyone has a full list of the variables and value ranges that can be used in the profile.ini.

Especially the following:

  • Pre Processing

  • Speed Quality Indicator - (what is the highest value, seen up to 8 on SVRT)

  • Video Quality

  • Encoder Mode

  • Profile Level - (what values correspond to different levels)

Thanks in advance.

When I create a custom profile to try to get svrt to work then I am happy if it is accomplished. The speed quality indication would have no meaning except for the re-rendered portion.

I have never seen an explanation from cyberlink for the re-rendered portion. The bit rate you choose would be applied but the time it takes can be shorter or longer.

The reason I haven't offered my two cents is that I don't have anything useful to contribute, but I'm interested. My knowledge & understanding of Profile.ini is limited to being able to modify certain parameters - resolution, VBR, framerate etc

BUT - that's as far as it goes. Like the OP, I don't know what some parts of the Profile.ini mean. I've noticed differences, but don't know what the number actually indicates.

e.g. A profile for H.264 AVC MP4 says "<File Format Class>11<Video Format Class>8<Audio Format Class>10" where a similar profile for MPEG-2 says "<File Format Class>7<Video Format Class>7<Audio Format Class>8" The same two profiles say "<Encoder Mode>0<...<Encoder Type>32" & "<Encoder Mode>0<...<Encoder Type>1" (respectively) & I don't have a clue what the numbers mean. I just know they're different (which is fairly astute).

Though I'm interested, it doesn't bother me. I know enough to get by.

Cheers - Tony

This has my attention! Where can I learn what .ini files might exist, especially for the Disc Create operations. Both beautiful and annoying is the small number of "handles" that Cyberlink has built into PD-15. Being able to experiment might help me isolate some problems I've been having. How should I approach this?

Like Tony, I remember doing quite a lot of experimenting a few years ago, but just for my own practical purposes. Sadly, in the intervening time, someone seems to have stolen the information from my brain and I can remember very little of my findings.

If I concentrate really hard I might get something back by next week.

Cheers
