Doing a voice over on a video got very low levels. Bought a blue yeti mic, but levels still only enough if we have mic & powerdirector 15 at maximum. Used the same mic on same computer at lower level in Camtasia and achieved much higher level. What is wrong with powerdirector?

Do you have the sound level cranked all the way up on the control beneath the preview window? Regards,

It is important to do the setup correctly. There are many controls for a USB mic that have to be set correctly to get good sound level.

In Powerdirector in the Voice Over room there is the Device button to select the USB Mic.

Be sure to test the sound level before you start recording. There is a wide range of level in the Voice Over Room. Adjust the volume slider. Try to keep the sound showing about in the green to yellow range. You can go from high distortion to a whisper.
