I open a new project in PD14 Ultimate. I make sure that General Preferences frame rate is set to NTSC 30 FPS, no dropcode.
I then import an MOV clip (1280x720, 30fps, 16:9, 22.73 Mbps). All good so far.
When I drag that clip (only media in the project so far) to the timeline, I get the warning that says the 30 fps clip I'm putting on the timeline conflicts with the 29.97 fps that I have set in General Preferences.
I check General Preferences, it shows 30 fps, no dropcode.
What am I missing?
P.S. I mention this not because I dislike warnings, but because having these clips on the timeline seems to be causing my playback to be jerky (even in the lowest resolution playback, using shadow files) and for the audio in the clips to come on only after a several-second delay. And these problems persist when I produce the project in default MPEG2 format.
