Am I correct in understanding that if/when I move from Windows 7 to Windows 10, PD12 and earlier versions will no longer work? That is, only PD13 and PD14 will work with Windows 10? Regards,
Dan

Dan:

I can't speak with any authority, but I did a clean install of Windows 10 in early December. I reloaded my PD12 and it initially appeared to be working just fine. A couple of weeks later, I went to do some editing, and it wouldn't launch: the dreaded "pdr.exe" has stopped working message.

I upgraded to PD14 and all is well. I don't know whether PD12 got clobbered by a Windows 10 update or what ...?

I did read here on these Forums in the past of folks successfully using PD12 and Windows 10. It didn't work out for me, but there is no harm in trying to install PD12 on a Windows 10 computer. One trick I did not try was to see if I could get PD12 to work in "compatibility mode." I was on the brink of upgrading to PD14 anyways, so I did not pursue any options to try to get my PD12 to work on my Windows 10 computer.

Just my experience, for what it is worth. Have a great day.
