SVRT no longer working in PD14 (paid version) with Pentax K-30 clip

This is a followup to the message I posted below a few years ago :

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/31622.page;jsessionid=2A18D831C76810E3FBF65FE5E498D8A6

Dafydd gave me a workaround, which worked in PD10/PD11/PD12 .

But unfortunately, it does not work in PD13, nor does it work in PD14, to which I just upgraded.

Any help would be appreciated. The K-30 is not a new camera anymore at this point. MSI X99A Raider

I get SVRT to "hang" each time I use it to analyze the clip.
The profile didn't work for me, re: other thread.
I have been playing with the situation - sort of paused once I got the "hang" issue.

Hmm, very strange - it never hung for me. Just doesn't find a matching profile.

Dafydd,

FYI, I filed CS001512680 with Cyberlink about this SVRT issue with the K-30 in PowerDirector 14. This is a regression from PD10/11/12, so I really hope it gets fixed.

I also filed
CS001512682 for the issue with SVRT on the Canon T3i in PowerDirector 14. Clips from that camera never worked with SVRT, but I'm still hopeful they will, someday.

Hi Julien Pierre ,
Thanks for the update. I asked CyberLink to run tests with the Pentax mov file and highlighted your previous post and this thread. The ticket ID's are useful.
I'm waiting for a reply, from CyberLink.

FYI, I know Cyberlink support reproduced the problem with both my Pentax K-30 and Canon T3i. But so far, no other updates. No workaround, and no fix.

Here is the test case for the Canon - case CS001512682 :

Please download and extract the test case from
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B1eSSO_7gwqecjJtOGh1NkRPems

Then :
1. start PowerDirector 14
2. open the t3isvrtbug project
3. click produce
4. click "intelligent SVRT"
5. a dialog comes up with a custom profile in red, with MPEG4, 1920x1080, frame rate 29.97, bit rate 46343K.
Workload is 0%.
There is no way to enable SVRT.
I tried to create a manual profile with these settings also, and still couldn't enable SVRT.

----------------------------------

Here is the test case for the Pentax K-30, case CS001512680 :

1. copy profile.ini to
C:\Users\Julien Pierre\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\12.0
(This should be your user's location, obviously)
2. start PowerDirector 12
3. open the k30svrtbug.PDS project attached
4. click produce
5. click H.264 AVC
6. select profile type "custom"
7. verify that the "Pentax K-30" profile is selected
8. click "fast rendering technology" checkbox
9. see that SVRT radio button is available . Select it
10. render with SVRT - it works.

Repeat in PowerDirector 14.

1. copy profile.ini to
C:\Users\Julien Pierre\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\14.0
(This should be your user's location, obviously)
2. start PowerDirector 14
3. open the k30svrtbug.PDS project attached
4. click produce
5. click H.264 AVC
6. select profile type "custom"
7. verify that the "Pentax K-30" profile is selected
8. click "fast rendering technology" checkbox
9. see that SVRT radio button is unavailable MSI X99A Raider

I have, all my cases are in "open" state and I'm waiting for their update. I cannot send anything more on the cases - and I don't have anything more to send. I just hope there will be a proper diagnosis. I bought PD14 on september 17 so I'm still in my 30 day period to get a refund. All 6 cases were submitted during the first week of ownership. Given the lack of progress on all 6 cases, I'm considering asking for a refund on day 29 if there is no progress.
