Dear All,

I noticed that all the brands recently discontinued consumer 3D camcorders (Sony, JVC, Panasonic).
What does that mean?
In particular what should we expect shortly:
1. Launch of something new - such as consumer 3D 4K camcorders?
2. Further development of consumer 4K (and 5K and 6K in the future) camcorders with software conversion of 4K 2D footage into 3D media?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I hope this discussion will be generally interesting.

3D is not mature at all, esp. there's no good standard, Anaglyph 3D is rubbish, and in video codec area, there is so called MVC (Multiview Video Coding)/3D encoder, it's also not widely accepted; All in all, 3D is not practical
