Ah, yes. Our old pal from PD11, and 12, and of course, 13. The dreaded (but not insurmountable) and unwelcome A/V unlinking issue.
Not much to add, there is no rhyme or reason, and the affected clips are totally different renders.

EDIT: I see that the affected clips are also now a frame or 2 off out-of-sync. Gee this is fun.

The issue has been reported to CyberLink, see thread: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/41052.page

Barry, I'll pass on your report and HDedit's confirmation. I wonder if either of you can provide a project that'll split or has split for examination. I'll pass the data onto CL as well for them to use.

Dafydd,

My projects do not have video that I can share. But when I get an opportunity I'll try to emulate the bug. Win 10, i7

I'm off to work now, this weekend I'll look at finding a before/after of the project, maybe even in auto-saves. They might be large files, so FTP might be necessary.
After all this time (it's a well-known bug) it seems clear that CL hasn't got a clue to what causes this error and I'm not sure yet ANOTHER project file PPM will help. A little jaded. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
