I recorded video of my friends band and I still have the produced file. I would like to know how I can give my friend a disc so he can place individual songs on the internet and his Web site.

You can put your project on the timeline, then Produce a audio file only.

In Produce click on the music notes for audio only files.

There are three formats, WMA, WAV and MP4.

In the Produce window, you can output/produce the audio only (the music button - lower right hand corner). However, in PowerDirector you are limited to WMA, WAV and M4A file formats only. But, at least you can create WAV files then convert them to MP3's using something like Audacity (free).

To produce audio files of individual songs in your long video with multiple songs, use the "produce range" on the timeline. I won't go into the steps for that because it is right in the PowerDirector help and/or user guide.

Simple, produce range for each segment to create an individual video of each song. Mike B.

In PowerDirector 12 you can select a range on the timeline to produce a separate video.

Produce range is a feature of PDR12 Ultimate/Ultra/Deluxe that allows you to (and I quote the User Guide):
Produce only a selected range of your video production, outputting it as a separate video file.
Here is how I would do it, step by step.
Method A (see image in Carl312's post...Thanks, Carl312!)
1.Import the concert video into PowerDirector and place it on the timeline.
2.Save new project, name it whatever you want.
3.Find the beginning of the first song with the timeline scrubber and stop it where you want "Song 1" to begin.
4.Grab the small orange marker on the right side of the timeline scrubber and take it to the point where you want "Song 1" to end. You should see the selected range highlighted in orange now. This range is what you must now produce to have a separate video file of only "Song 1."
5.When the range has been selected, a button labeled "PRODUCE RANGE" will automagically appear above the timeline. Click this button and produce the video of "Song 1" like you would normally.
6.Repeat for each of the remaining songs. Be sure to save periodically, just in case.

Method B
Follow Step 1, 2, 3 above, then:
4.Click the split button.
5.Delete the clip to the left of the scrubber and remove the gap (take start of clip to beginning of timeline).
6.Find the end of "Song 1" with the timeline scrubber.
7.Click the split button.
8.Delete the clip to the right of the scrubber. All that should remain on the timeline now is "Song 1."
9.Go to the produce window and produce "Song 1" like you would normally.
10.Repeat for the remaining songs. You can create a separate project for each song this way or after you produce each single song successfully, just delete it from the timeline and drag the concert video back to the timeline and repeat.

Method B is pretty basic (I assume you are familiar with these steps since you have apparently produced a finished video already?) and not really the best/fastest way to do it, but it was the easiest way for me to explain it. Good Luck.
