This is nothing new there already another post about adding image Alfa for operation in the transition room / Shape. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

Yeah, I noticed... but being new and uneducated with PD, I didn't and still don't know what you're saying

You need to register in DirectZone to download is free to users, Cyberlink.
Effect downloaded, executable file, install, go to a folder C: \ Users \ Public \ CyberLink \ Downloaded Transitions
Copy only the Alpha image (black and white)
Paste in C: \ Program Files \ CyberLink \ PowerDirector12 \ AlphaTransition AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
SSD SUV400S37240G / 2-HD WD 1TB
AMD Radeon R9 270 / AOC M2470SWD
Windows 7-64 / PD16 Ultimate

You lost me. I'm looking at the Trickle Transition. When I click the download button and get past the pop-up, the file is saved as Trickle.dztr. Are you getting an executable file?

EDIT:
So... I downloaded the .dztr file. changed the extension to .dzp and double-clicked on it. Got a window saying it installed ok. I didn't find it in PD12.

So, like you said, I looked in the C:\Users\Public\CyberLink\Downloaded Effects\Object Effects folder and found one named pip001. I copied the 2014-07-30-09-37-42_RestrictImg.png to my C:\Program Files\Applications\PowerDirector12\PowerDirector12\AlphaTransition folder.

It shows up in PD12 as IDS_DSP_Tr_Alpha_2014-07-30-09-37-42_RestrictImg.png

Works just fine.
