I am a new user to Media Espresso. It came with my purchase of PowerDVD 14. During the installation process the progress bar freezes at 90% but all of the program folders and shortcuts are created. When I open Media Espresso from the programs menu it started and asked for my registration key. I input it, the program accepted it and then it registered my version. It appears that everything is running correctly even though installation did not complete.

Running Windows 7 64 SP 1

I'm having the same issue. Freezes at 90%.

We could use a resolution to this, please. Just purchased the product, and this is not encouraging.

Confirm this 90% hang.

During setup MediaEspresso v7 created a button in the taskbar

I rightclicked on it, selected Exit and install continued.

Think this is a bug in the setup. Hope developers are looking here.

I can confirm that the installation freezes at 90% like the rest.

Similar to pdwul the install resumed when I right clicked the MediaEspresso icon in the task bar and selected exit. Install finished without a hitch otherwise.

Thanks for this post! I also had Media Expresso install freeze at 90%.
Nice find on the work a round!

Hey there CyberLink support, I just bought the download version of ME vers 7 yesterday...
You guys couldn't fix this issue after having released the product last year, and also having this forum identify the issue in July?
(c'mon, that's pretty slow re-action to a known issue that is damaging to your brand an to the end user experience)

You folks tout this software as one of the more premium software products. This installation glitch really puts a stain on your brand
reputation. I'm disappointed that your support teams have not resolved this for your newer customers...

Anyway, thanks to the forum members for disclosing a work a round for this...

Currently their latest version is 2014-06-25
So, I am afraid they will not hurry to fix this bug...
