This is frustrating beyond belief. I have an Acer Aspire that came with Windows 8 (basic). I have an SSD and a retail copy of windows 8 pro which I installed.

I downloaded the drivers from my manufacturer website but despite the fact that all drivers match, cyber link keeps failing on my fresh install of windows BUT it passes on the oem copy. What the heck is going on?

Here is my OEM HDD log - the one that passes.

Here is the SSD with custom windows 8 retail that is failing:

They both have all the same drivers, im not sure what else it could be.

Hi,
your custom install cannot support COPP - that's why it fails.

Thanks so much for the prompt reply. What exactly is COPP? Is it a driver? Application? Can it be transferred from the working install?

Hi,
it is copy protection from your VGA driver - it should come from the driver package.

As you use Intel Graphics, you may check if you have installed correct/matching Intel HECI driver and Management driver as well as chipset drivers.
