Purpose of Capture "Wheel"

Dumb question, I know, but I finally got PD9 "talking" to my Sony digital camcorder and was able to get it to transfer via Firewire from the DV port. On the capture window, there is a "wheel" that isn't mentioned in the User Guide. Don't want to mess with it until I know what it does - just so pleased to be able to capture directly. It is to the right of the Time Code window.

Would you be so kind as to inform me of its purpose?

Once again, sorry for being so stupid. Have a great day.

Hi,
The 'Wheel' is for advancing movies frame by frame increments enabling a single frame capture...
On a Video editing aparatus "keyboard" it has them built in.

Thanks James. Funny that they don't include that information in the User Guide. The screen shot of the Capture Screen in the PD9 User Guide doesn't show it at all.

I am enlightened. Thank you again and have a great day.
