How can I stop the annoying "Ugrade" pop-up when I start up. This only started recently and I don't need to upgrade. This is Cyberlink advertising that I don't want.

Hello Dai -

To avoid the advertising pop-ups, you have a couple of options:

1. Set your Windows Firewall to block PD from internet access. This would require you to check for software updates manually.

2. This was originally posted in the forum by another member - it works...

In Windows XP:
1. Locate the file - Windows XP Home c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
2. Open "hosts" in Notepad
3. Add host name at bottom of text, beneath 127.0.0.1 localhost - the text to add is 127.0.0.1 liveupdate.cyberlink.com
4. Save file and restart.

In Vista & Win 7:
1. Browse to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
2. Right click "Notepad" and select "Run as administrator"
3. Click "Continue" on the UAC prompt
4. Click File -> Open
5. Browse to "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc"
6. Change the file filter drop down box from "Text Documents (*.txt)" to "All Files (*.*)"
7. Select "hosts" and click "Open"
8. Add host name at bottom of text, beneath 127.0.0.1 localhost - the text to add is 127.0.0.1 liveupdate.cyberlink.com
9. Close Notepad. Save when prompted.

Also, try the main CyberLink Forum - which has greater traffic, email notification, a working search engine & attachment function.

Cheers - Tony

Thanks Tony, I wondered how to do that! Now, how do I get rid of the "Registration" box that pops up? I don't want to register "now" or "later". I am already registered - I think I keep getting this prompt because I did a "reinstall". Thanks!

When I record blu-ray titles to Blu-ray Disc and play them on blu-ray the titles are distorted and unreadable. Any help out there please. The titles used to work fine.
