Best format to "produce" an audio file in for MP3 Conversion
[Post New]
So I'm digitizing some analog music going into PD. Eventually I will convert the audio to MP3 so what PD audio format would you recommend to provide the best quality after the conversion to MP3?

Mp3 is not an especially high quality format, and PD has a history of problems with some Mp3 encodings.

WAV (non-compressed, but large file size) might be a better conversion choice. If size is a consideration, try WMA.

While that is true, MP3 is what I use with my portable player. Not knowing any better I'm figuring I'll use PD to make MPEG-4 audio files and then convert those to MP3. Does that make sense?

It depends, my player can play lossless format like FLAC, that's my best choice.

For compression format, AAC(.m4a) has better algorithm than MP3 and PowerDirector can encode it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PowerDirector 365

Ok, so the question is simple, what PD format is the best to convert to MP3? I'm guessing MPEG-4.
