Is the latest patch a good idea for most users?

Hi, is it a good idea to install the 3026 patch with 64 bit PowerDirector 11 Ultimate, Version 11.0.0.2812 - even when not using New Blue effects or burning Blu-ray discs? (I do have a Blu-ray burner, and might find use for it in the future, but presently use a standard definition 3MOS Panasonic handycam, and therefore burn PAL DVDs). Is PD11 more stable generally with the 3026 patch? The program is presently working well with my nVidia GTX 650 display and Version 311.06 drivers. CUDA acceleration and decoding are working well, too.

My system: Windows 7 64 bit, 16Gb DDR3 Kingston RAM at 1600mHZ, Intel i7-3770k CPU, 2 x 1Tb 7200 SATA3 Seagate HDDs, Gigabyte H77-D3H-MVP motherboard, nVidia Geforce GTX 650 display, nVidia Geforce Version 311.06 drivers and 22 inch ASUS VS228N screen.

Regards, Phil

Don't recall any negatives being mentioned in the forum. Should problems surface you could roll back via system restore or a partition image, if you take those precautions. Then again, if it ain't broke...

Hi Borgus, probably will try the patch when I have some time tomorrow, will do a bit more reading first. Haven't come across anything negative about the patch either. As this should be an easy question to answer, perhaps a moderator or someone with direct experience will write a brief note. Thanks for writing - Phil

The only way you can find out for sure, if this or any update / patch will work with your system is: if you actually install it on your own machine with it's own unique system configuration.

It works fine for the majority of people. Others have system conflicts.
My system build is more involved than most others and this patch still works fine for me.
