I've created my video in PD11 and uploaded to my website in website tonight. The video shows as a black box with a "Start" arrow in the center. It runs fine when you click the arrow, but I'd like to have a cover photo over the video when it isn't running instead of a dull black box. How can I get a cover photo on the video file?
Thanks.

Can you post the URL for this video, please?

Hints at a coding issue, Jeff. Check with the WEB page designer to see if there's an option for that PA VidPlayer to display first-frame video prior to PLAY.

Doubt that this is related to PD unless you uploaded with a black frame/s ahead of the video. In that case you might try another upload, after excising the black. If PD automatically creates same, someone else will confirm that here.

Jeff,

Try putting your cover photo pic at the beginning of your video clip for a few seconds.
Unless the website as suggested auto blackens the clip then there is nothing you can really do.

Otherwise- subject matter looks very interesting- I am a history buff. Mostly Greco-Roman and ancient civilization history.

Rob,
The only place I seem to have the black screen problem is on my website, so it must be an issue with WebSite Tonight. I had been uploading the file. I just switched to using an embedded link and it seemed to work. Check it out here:

I'm glad it looks interesting. I'm hoping I can get some buzz going. This book has been #! in its category on Kindle off and on, but it is always a battle to get the visibility.

Thanks for your help!

Jeff
