Is there a way to gently fade in out effects that can be dropped into effect track?

Properties of the effect can be modified by clicking the keyframe button. However, most effects do not let you fade them completely out. A work around could be to place second copy of your video clip over the effect and fade it out. In big projects alignment could be tedious, but it should work. __________________________________
