Using a Selection Mask to create colour change

In the Adjustment module, set control points for the selection mask

Scroll through the clip to adjust control points so the mask follows the movement of the subject

Open the keyframes window and set adjustment parameters at each point where change is wanted

Packed Project Materials in ColorDirector

(from the Help file) Exporting Projects

You can export your CyberLink ColorDirector projects by packing all the materials in a folder on your computer's hard drive. Exported projects can then be imported into another computer running CyberLink ColorDirector.

To export your project, select File > Pack Project Materials.

Unlike PowerDirector, ColorDirector packs all videos in the Media Library - not just the timeline.

Round Trip Editing vs Using Standalone CDR

■ Opening CDR as standalone software gives the user ALL options.
■ When CDR is accessed through PowerDirector, some options aren’t available. In effect, a “lite” version is opened.

What’s the same:
Adjustment/Edit tools
Produce options

What you don’t get:
Library/import functions

If you need to apply a particular CDR adjustment to many/all clips in a PDR project, here's how.

Applying the same adjustment to multiple clips

CDR does not have a copy/paste adjustment facility (like PhotoDirector). By saving adjustment settings as a preset, they can be applied to other clips efficiently.

LUTs - importing into a project

Once LUTs are downloaded and stored on your PC, they can be imported for application on video clips.

  1. Under Adjustment > Manual, click the "" button to apply a Color Look-Up Table (LUT)

  2. Navigate to your stored LUTs folder & select

  3. Choose whether to apply to one/all clips.
