WOW that Cyberlink downloader sure is fast I was getting 1.4 meg download. Only took a couple minutes....

Actually impressive that they are still actively updating this version. Don't know if that's just good support or if it means PD11 is still a ways off.

When I downloaded the update yesterday I got that updater so I install it. It downloaded the update. But the blue progress bar show all the way but the % then the amount downloaded stay at 0%. So I look in the folder I save it to it had a tmp extension to it. I look at the file size and it said 159 MB. So I rename it by changing the extension to .exe and it installed. Not know if it was a busy server or why it did that. Intel i7 5960X overclock to 4 Ghz 16 GB of ram.

Perhaps it was a server busy due to number of users downloading the patch simultaneously.

So far, after installing the patch, I haven't had any freezes on produced videos where source video contains h.264/avc. I had lots of trouble before the patch. I cranked the bitrate to the maximum of 26500 for 1920x1080 MPEG-4 output, but PowerDirector didn't flinch. Hopefully, freezing is a thing of the past, for now. You'll note that I don't have a very powerful machine.

Gateway DX4380, AMD A8-5500 Quad Core 3.2GHz with ATI Radeon HD 7560D; 16GB RAM; 1 TB SATA 7200 RPM; Windows 8 Pro 64-bit; PDR11, PDVD12.

We probably have a couple of months, but they usually put out one last update just before a new release. Just my observation and not an official statement, of course. __________________________________
