Hi!

Is there any way of creating sparkling text in PowerDirector? I would like to include some in a title that I want to create.

Any help will be appreciated!

As far as I know, if you can find a sparkling Font online you can have sparkling text in Powerdirector.

Fonts are installed in Windows, PD uses the Windows Fonts for its titles. Go into the Title Designer and change the Font.

Search online for the Font you want to use. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

You can have sparkling text in your project by producing say an animated gif file and use it in PD15. This site can do it for free: http://en.bloggif.com/text .

Let us know if this helps.laughing

Hi Alan -

Another possibility is to add a particle to your title, either (a) in a separate track or (b) imported into the title template.

Here are some sparkles that would work with titles:

or they could be modified to match your text.

Cheers - Tony

Hi tomasc,

Thank you for your reply! I have used the website to create an animated gif and it is really good! How do I set the background to be transparent?

The background on those gifs are already transparent. Try this : Put your video in track 1 and the gifs in track 2. You can then see the video with those text gifs overlay in front.

Let us know if this fix your problem.

I was thinking more along the lines of getting a sparkling backdrop and using the text mask feature. Also I experimented with FX dragged to the title text, one of the lightnings was pretty cool, but not really sparkles. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
