Has any one used power director to capture video from a VHS device using the Pinnacle DVC-107 or DVC-100 and does it work or do I need to use their software

Not familar with those capture devices.

If you install the Driver for those devices, does Powerdirector 'see' the device in the capture module.
You do have to go through the settings in the capture module to get any capture device to work in Powerdirector.

Powerdirector Capture Module (Lower Right Corner)

If Powerdirector does not capture from those devices, that use the supplied Software to capture the Video. Use AVI or MPEG-2 if you have those choices.

Import the video from the hard drive.
