Hi Barry, yea I kind of asked before thinking, well I got the new colors installed and it's really going to help expecially since everything I do will be music related, thanks guys

Des, one other thing, if it may help. Since you've recorded a track of guitar and then a track of Bass on two tracks of your audio recorder why don't you mix them together so that you have a final stereo track of both the guitar and bass together. And then drag that wav file of what ever format it will be in into the audio track of your PowerDirector and then with your video footage just go back and forth with clips of you playing each instrument instead of doing a split screen, kind of like I did in Cold Cold Comfort where you see me playing the drums in one scene and then the guitar in another. It may work a little easier. Just a thought, either way best of luck and most of all, have fun!

Thanks Jim
This is what I have so far. I only did it to see if it would work. It all needs sorting out but I was quite pleased with it

Hey Des, that was pretty cool, I gotta learn how to do that, now I understand what you're trying to do with the split screen. Is there anyway you could move around the camera so that you have a split screen with your whole head in each shot so that it looked like twin bothers sitting in the room singing together? Anyways it should be even better when you get all that worked out. Good idea. Thanks for sharing.

Well done Des

As the other knowledgable members have suggested try using the camera directly in front.

That way you can use the standard masks.

If you look directly at the camera with just a head shot you should be able to 'marry' the two side together.

Here's a link to a couple of PD tutorials on how to create a 'clones' or 'ghosts' for some ideas.

They are using PD7 but the principal's the same.

Happy editing

I did mine very rough rather than try to explain what I was doing.
Thanks for the tutorials is good to know that I’m not alone in wanting to talk to myself.

Hi Lads
Am I missing something? I’m still not sure how to change the colour of the tracks.

Hi lads
Cancel that. I’ve sorted it. Once you know what to do it’s simple. Isn’t that always the way!!!
