PowerDVD DX Updates

I purchased a Dell XPS16. Upon trying a Blueray DVD with PowerDVD DX, which came with the computer, the program automatically updated to Version 8.2.5202. My question is this, the Update Link is "inactive" when opening the program and I am connected online. How do I setup the program to inform me of updates automatically? Why is the Online Update link inactive?

The “Online Update” button will be grey out if there is no update available online.
This button is enable if there is an update available.
