Hi

I'm definitely a newbie and I got PowerDirector 15 to edit some videos then realised I had scanned some of my old negatives a while back which are 30-40 years old and thought maybe I could use PhD to enhance them. When I scanned them there is no real white to them and they are very contrasty. I think this maybe a common problem with old negatives as it seems to be across a lot if not all my negs.

Ideally I'd like to know if there is a standard template I could use to correct them.

Have attached a sample neg to show what I mean.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Thanks, Richard

Hello Richard,

Welcome to the DirectorZone forum laughing

It's very easy, in PhD, to create your own presets to suit your purposes but you might like to use these as starting points:

BW Contrast 1

BW Contrast 2

Lots of wasted space in "levels". You might try adjusting them.
