How can I estimate how much content will fit on DVD?

Let me elaborate - I've edited a bunch of WMV files using PD7 into smaller movie clips and would like to piece them together and burn them onto a DVD in a high quality resolution.

How can I estimate how much content will fit onto a 4.7gb DVD ? Do I just add up the file sizes of all the clips and keep it just below 4.7gb?

Thanks in advance,
Ray

Ray,

For DVD quality video you have the following
DVD HQ, ~60min per single layer DVD
DVD HQ, ~120min per dual layer DVD
DVD SP, ~120min per single layer DVD
DVD LP, ~180min per single layer DVD

If you have a lot of just colorboards of titles in certain areas you will get a little more.

You can always go to Create Disc tab and look at the stats in the lower left corner after setting proper DVD quality preferences.
