Just got a SonyA6300 for birthday and upgraded to PD8 to edit the Sony ARW files (Sonys version of RAW files)

Seems to edit ok, though pretty slow, then crashes every time I try to export.
This happens with all file formats and all locations I try to export to.

I have 3Gb of RAM and a quad core processor so dont think that is the problem but...

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

Hello Topcat,

Welcome to the PhotoDirector forum. laughing

Using a batch of JPGs & ARWs from A6300, I am unable to replicate your crash issue. Next I combined a larger group of similar photos from the A6500, made some extreme adjustments & exported as best quality JPG, with no issues.

There's nothing particularly demanding about the RAW files (24MP ~25MB), so the issue could be related to your system. Could you please post a DxDiag of your PC? It may indicate some possible cause.

Make sure you've installed (a) the most recent patch for PhD 8 and (b) the most recent drivers for your GPU.

Thanks for looking into this problem.

I have the latest driver for my GPU and have installed the PhD8 patch.

I am attaching the DXdiag for you to check out.

Thanks
