Hello,

I represent the IT support of a large media group.

We bought 2 licenses of PowerDVD 16 ultra and we get an error after installing it.We use Windows 7 Sp1 up to date.At first run, Windows indicate that a signed driver is requiered and the program may not work normaly.

Error message

Indeed, PowerDVD is unable to play any bluray film. We can see the bluray loading and stop after few seconds.

If we boot Windows with option "disable signed driver verification", PowerDVD can play our blurays. So the problem seems to be identified. Microsoft doesn't allow to bypass permanently signed driver verification.

We tried to call the French Phone support at number indicated on your website : 0049 241 705 2540

The line is KO since at least 4 days!

I opened a ticket ID CS001616964, but not response since 48 hours.

Is there somebody in this company could help us to use our product?

Additional information : We don't have any trouble with Power DVD 14 ultra on similar configurations.

Thanks for help and reading.

Hi Support4000,

PowerDVD 16 applies new file security sign which is natively supported in Windows 8 and above version Windows.
For Windows 7, you may need to install all the important updates detected within Windows Update program get new file security sign support, and reinstall PowerDVD 16 again to get it effect.

A trick to check if the Windows 7 is truly up-to-date in DxDiag -> Save All Information in DxDiag txt, you may check attached screenshot.

If it's not up-to-date, you may launch Windows Update program manually to check the updates thoroughly.

Greetings
Chuck
