Greetings,
I've been working with PD6.5 for about a week now. I've produced a couple projects and DVD's. Love the product. I've used Pinnacle 11, Corel VideoStudio 12, Adobe Premiere, Sony Movie Studio and so on. So, I'm quite used to the video editing software. I use it mainly for home movies - putting pics and video of vacations and special events together.

I was working on my 2008 vacation DVD. I've got mpeg, jpg, bmp's and so on. Lots of titles, transitions, PIP and so on. The project file is about 10meg. When I create a new chapter I burn a DVD-RW and check my work. Was doing good until my last chapter. The DVD played fine up until a specific pic. Then the TV went black. About 30 seconds later my mpeg showed up. Some jpg's I took with my Panasonic HD video camera showed up, but then some regular 35mm pics I scanned in and put to jpgs (about 700meg by 4000 meg) don't display. All of the scanned pics aren't in the DVD production. The mpegs and 16x9 HD pics are there.

I modified one of the jpgs not displayed using the "Stretch Imiage" function and stretched the pic to 16x9 and re-rendered to a DVD. The picture showed up!

Obviously I'd rather not have to do that to all the jpg's in my timeline (there are quite a few). Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix this issue?

Thanks,
Marty

Due to the lack of response, I guess you're all as dumb founded as I was. Well, I found my issue. Apprently each picture I had looked at via Windows Picture preview had done something to the jpg. If I had used that program to crop or fix a picture in some way. I went through all the jpg's and edited and saved each one using paint.net. I then opened up PD6.5 and saved my project under a new name so that the whole "movie" would be rerendered. I created a new DVD and behold. All the pictures showed!
Don't know what the problem is between PD and Windows Picture Viewer (Vista Version), but apparenlty there is.

Thanks,
Marty
