I'm using since now PD10 for simple projects.

Now I need to work on a new project that need to integrate 50GB videos coming from three cams.

Understood I need I to upgrade to PD12, but what about hardware?

My current conf is

Laptop Lenovo X220, i5 2520M 2.5ghz, Intel HD 3000, 8GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 64GB SSD mSATA

My options are limited to: upgrade RAM to max 16GB (about $270 here), buy a bigger 128GB SSD (about $90 or $180 for 256GB) or also create an external videocard solution (eGPU - about $390 using something like GTX660 or R9 270X card).

What can be the best investment?

With only 64GB on your SSD, where will your media files reside? HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

I can empty the SSD and all the media files can be stored there.
I have also an internal 320GB HDD (upgraded my previous post).

If needed it will cost me much less to expand RAM or buy a bigger 128GB SSD than setup a eGPU solution.

My doubt is what can be really needed.

Where is your C:drive? On the SSD or somewhere else?
Also, your video card is a bit under-powered.

There is a trial of PD12, not sure if it includes the multi-cam.
Cyberlink also has a "warranty" money-back policy if you buy.

C drive its on the HDD, I update my first post to show also his presence.

Where the videocard does speed the activities?

Make sense invest in something such as GTX660/R9 270X?
