Hello rp0156 and welcome to the forum,

Could you please clarify what you mean?

Will PhotoDirector not even launch? Are you having trouble importing images (make sure they're JPEG, TIFF, or RAW format)?

Oh dear!

Does it just hang at the start up screen... or fail to do anything at all?

Has it run previously or is this a new installation?

I'm sure the problem can be quickly resolved.

Ah! The penny's finally dropped!

"Photo Director cannot launch resolution lower 1024 x 768 or connected to portrait monitor" was the alert message.

Obviously, your monitor is OK & PhotoDirector is misreading something.

Just to be sure, when you go to Control Panel\Display\Screen Resolution, it's set to 1920x1080? Yes?

If your monitor settings are right, perhaps an uninstall/re-install is called for. That would be the first thing I'd do.

Of course - just checking.

Good luck with the re-install!

"Registry Editor". In the left pane of Registry Editor, extend the path to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/ CyberLink/<program name>/<version>/BuildInfo". In this path you can see there is a "SR_No" in the right pane. The "Data" column has a few digits and that is the SR Number.

PHOTO DIRECTOR IS NOT IN THE REGISTRY EDITOR

PowerDirector is in the registry

Does PhotoDirector have to be install on main C drive or can it be installed on 2nd internal drive?
