Hi, all.
To any advanced user who is interested, here are several TVEnhance.exe tweaks that I discoverd through experimentation by modifying several .Ini files.
If you would like to try these, be sure to back up any affected files before modifying them.
Also make sure TVEnchance is closed before modifying the file.
Here goes...
======================================================================
Tweak #1: Change the number rows displayed in the EPG:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Go to C:\Users\<profile name>\AppData\Local\TVEnhance
2) Open the TVEPGSetting.ini file
3) Look for "default_epggridvisiblerowcount=" under [EPG_Default] section.
4) Change the value after the "=" sign. For example, on my system default_epggridvisiblerowcount=6. When I
changed it to 7 and launched TVEnhance, the EPG displayed 7 rows instead of 6.
Tweak #2: Change the height of the rows in the EPG:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Go to C:\Users\<profile name>\AppData\Local\TVEnhance
2) Open the TVEPGSetting.ini file
3) Look for "default_epggridrowheight = " under [EPG_Default] section.
4) Change the value after the "=" sign. For example, on my system default_epggridrowheight = 50. When I
changed the value to 40 and launched TVEnhance, the EPG rows were shorter. This tweaks works really well with Tweak #1 above.
Tweak #3: Change the way the EPG grid is displayed:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Go to C:\Users\<profile name>\AppData\Local\TVEnhance
2) Open the TVEPGSetting.ini file
3) Look for "default_epggriddisplaytype = " under [EPG_Default] section.
4) Change the value after the "=" sign. Try these:
a) default_epggriddisplaytype = 0: This is the default.
b) default_epggriddisplaytype = 1: Channels will be displayed across the top of the EPG while the time-slots will be
displayed as rows.
c) default_epggriddisplaytype = 2: Same as b except that the rows/colums are thicker.
Tweak #4: Increase or decrease width of the columns in the EPG:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Go to C:\Users\<profile name>\AppData\Local\TVEnhance
2) Open the TVEPGSetting.ini file
3) Look for "default_epggridvisiblerange = " under [EPG_Default] section.
4) Change the value after the "=" sign. For example, on my system default_epggridvisiblerange = 90. When I changed the value to 100 and launched TVEnhance, columns got wider.
Tweak #5: Deactivate animation when clicking through different areas in
TVEnhance (makes GUI more responsive):
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Go to C:\Users\<profile name>\AppData\Local\TVEnhance
2) Open the Setting.ini file
3) Look for "useaniminsubpage = True" under the [Render] section.
4) Replace with useaniminsubpage = False. This will make the GUI a little more responsive.
Tweak #6: Remove Tooltip delay when hovering over buttons in TVEnhance.exe
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Go to C:\Users\<profile name>\AppData\Local\TVEnhance
2) Open the Setting.ini file
3) Look for "tooltipdelay = " under the [Tip] section.
4) Change the number after the = sign to 0 to remove the delay. When you restart TVEnhance and hover
your mouse over any of the buttons on the screen, there will be no delay when the tooltip pops up.
I will post more when I find them. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks.
