Hello,

I have upgraded from Power Director 8 to 10 but the Title selections I have in version 10 are only 8. and quite useless as well. 4 Clover and 4 Travel. Is this all the selections with version 10 as I had 50 odd with version 8! If not, where and how do I download more? Even just the ones that came with version 8 would be ok.

Also do I need to uninstall version 8 for version 10 to function correctly? They seem to coexist ok so far. With earlier versions I had to uninstall the previous version but nothing was mentioned about uninstalling earlier versions with PD10.

Thanks to anyone who has the time to help Todd

When you downloaded PD10, there should have been a second download, referred to as a Content Pack.
That 2nd download is full of menus and PIP objects, Titles, etc.
Did you download/install the CP? There might actually be 2 Content Packs.

You should have received two content packs as part of your download or box purchase. These need to be installed to get all the extra content.

With all due respect Amanda, and not to discourage your participation here at all, but your link is all but pointless.
This thread is chasing down why this editor has only a few title templates, it has nothing to do with saving newly created titles.

Hello Barry, Jeff and Amanda.
Thanks very much for your time. I assume I did download the content packs as everything else seems to be there and in sufficient quantity bar the particle room which only has a choice of 10. If this is in fact the right amount then everything is there bar the Title room contents. I can't imagine that the Title contents come in their own special folder but hey maybe they do. While I've got you, what's you take on having to delete earlier versions before PD 10 works as it should?

I have sent a support ticket to CL but thanks to people like you I can hopefully find out what the issue is and solve it 'a lot faster'

Thanks for any further input.

One final note. I do find that PD10 seems to just stop after a while of 'quite rapid use' Cut, paste, drag, insert, etc at speed. Doesn't crash but just stops to catch its breath. Have you found any such issues? Never had any such issues with all the previous versions.

Hi TODDAndrew -

If you want to check whether the Contents Packs have all installed, you can look in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyberlink\templates\PowerDirector Content Pack 10\PowerDirector 10 Content Pack I\Titles - there should be 234 items in total

and C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyberlink\templates\PowerDirector Content Pack 10\PowerDirector 10 Content Pack II\Titles - there are 27 items in that folder.

If your numbers don't match, there's something wrong with how the contents packs were installed.

Cheers - Tony

Hello Tony,
surprise surprise, I'm also from NSW - Murwillumbah. Yes I've had a look in this file and no there aren't these amounts in there so I've just had some sort of bug with the Title folder contents. Hopefully CL will give me a reinstall. Only have the eight selections I mentioned earlier. Have attached contents of this folder and assume it doesn't contain what it should.

Thanks for your time Todd

No problem...

No - the screenshot is from C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector10\Titles

The contents packs (i.e. all the extra bits) are stored at the locations I posted above.

Do you still have a copy of your installer files??? If so, just run them both again.

Cheers - Tony

Yes - for sure - there's something missing (but you knew that!)

I don't know where you send your downloads, but (to find those installer files) you could do a search for "CyberLink.110906_ContentP_I_PCP110812-04" and "CyberLink.110906_ContentP_II_PCP110812-05" - that's what the files are named.

Cheers - Tony
