Muti Trim not working properly...a bug?

When I open the Media viewer in PD10 (I have the newest patch too) and then try to do a Muti-Trim the 'Mark out' will not work (that is it is grayed out) UNLESS I click on the time line again. In previous versions lets say I have a video and want to cut out 05:00:00 to 06:00:00. I would go to the video counter and put in my start time...I would click 'Mark in' and then I would put in my STOP time and thne click 'Mark OUT'. The problem is in PD 10 after I put my time in to 'Mark Out' the' Mark Out' BUTTON will not highlight to let me CLICK it. The only way I can get it to work is to hit the frame advance button and then the 'Mark Out' button is available to click and not greayed out.

Does anyone have any ideas about this? Solar

Hi Solar,
I am unable to replicate the issue you have described.

I made a short video to show you what I do: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/19405.page#105574

If you can please take a screenshot of the issue you're experiencing or even a video screen capture.

The video you made was awesome! Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to show me how you did it. Here is the key to making it work (that before I did NOT need to do with PD7) that I guess now we have to do with PD10...after you did the MARK IN time and then TYPED in your MARKED OUT time I noticed you could not hit MARK OUT button UNTIL you hit the ENTER / RETURN key FIRST. It is odd you do not have to do it when doing the MARK IN time, but only with the MARK OUT time....I know in PD7 you could type your MARK OUT time and then push the MARK OUT button without hitting ENTER / RETURN key first, but now it looks like you MUST hit ENTER / RETURN which will then in turn ALLOW you to push the MARK OUT button...live and learn! Thank you soooo much for the fast response and again for taking time to make that video for me and anyone else. It really helps to see what another person is doing other than using words alone. What program is best for screen capturing video like you did for me?

Hi Solar,
I think I had to use enter/return each time I typed in a number.

The highlighted number will fade out in other sections of Pd10. For example, if I were in Preview doing the same thing. I use Split and I'd set the Preview player to Clip mode, I can then localise a portion of a video in the same way while the clip is in the tracks.

Thank you for watching the video I'm quite happy to make "one take short video tutorials" for anyone who needs them. As you rightly noticed a video can be quickly understood.

There are a large number of video tutorials for PowerDirector 10, available from CyberLink's YouTube Channel. Each are about 5 minutes long.
