got the notification of the patch although sold as enhancements to PD10 well downloaded but the patch requires me to have version 10 of PD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 10.0.0.1005 so I guess I can't get the patch

I had Pd10 10.0.1005 (the download original version) and when opened this morning (monday Oct 24) had a notification for update and downloaded it and installed flawlessly.

Nope tried it twice more, then tried to apply it in safe mode.

Finally re-installed and was able to apply patch to 1012

Never had PD update from within PD. Even when registering PD it says I am not connected to the internet.

Yes the firewall has given PD access.

Also I have gone to the update link and it only shows PD9. Might be up tomorrow the 26-10-11

Open PD10 top right corner next to the words PowerDirector blue up arrow, click on that.

Then select updates and you should see link to patch, although it's not called a patch more like a free gift!

No blue arrow, mine is white, why put upgrade on the highest level of PD, never mind.....still no update available on my copy, might be something about PD not seeing the internet.

Will have to wait for the link on PD website.

Barry, mine doesn't show any of my packs, why am I not surprised.

My feelings are that PD9 after the last patch, was just GREAT.
Now THIS program is essentially PD9point10.
That's not a bad thing. PD9, plus NewBlue, plus 3D, plus a new photo-painty thingy. And more themes.
So it's PD9 with plugins, I'm OK with that.
But...if CL adverts give a PACK away, it should be there.
And if the new patch is out, EVERYONE should have access.

Patches and PACKS are now distributed based on your star rating minus your smartalekycomments divided by the number of PEOPLE who have complained about you...LOL (guess I am in REAL TROUBLE!!)

I was able to install the patch from the pop-up that shows at the bottom bar of Windows (remember the one in PD9... that prompted you to UPGRADE to PD9 AT 50% OFF?), but no patches or packs or offers to upgrade show up for me inside the program when I click the up-arrow thingy....

This may be some new method of releasing patches to existing users without requiring them to go to the software updates section of the page..I think I remember one patch in PD9 that happened this way..exisitng users..THEN the site "software updates" a few days later!

Maybe they are releasing patches for the FULL version first...then the patch for the update versions??? Purely speculation on my part.

I for one am glad they have an active team working..they got better toward the end of PD9 at doing this...maintenance releases are a GOOD thing!! so hopefully this will carry over to PD10.

People here saw PD10 pre-release??? Raise your hands, please!!

Well Barry, you started this trend of "To be fair"...so in that spirit, maybe they discovered the patch was FLAWED and withdrew it??

Dafydd must be fishing..although I did see him lock a wandering post earlier..so don't know what the "official that I can tell you" statement is.

Sun is down in California..so maybe it will all be over by the time the sun comes back up !!
