If you have the Video in the PowerDirector library, Right click on the video and Extract Audio.
That produces a WAV file. The WAV file can be converted to other formats in a converter or other software. Audacity is a good free audio editor.
Audacity will also extract audio from Video files, if it is a format that Audacity can open.
