don't know what more to give you.
every blu-ray i have playes fine except the Rio movie,
all the blu-ray movies i rent from blockbuster play just fine unless they are badly scratched.

the movie Rio is the only blu-ray that is asking for an update to powerdvd 10.

Hi,

First of all - thanks for the info!

Can you please try to playback the BD with Monitor (only one) directly connected to the PC? It is to cross check.

I have updated our internal system with your info and wait the team to update the test result

not sure what you mean?

Pioneer Multi-Channel Receiver is a fake monitor it does not exist, it is for audio only. i only have one monitor and its a CRT monitor connected directly to the PC.

and that's not the problem since every blu-ray i have or ever played on my pc play with out a problem except the movie Rio
witch powerdvd is acking for an update.

just as a test downloaded WinDVD PRO 2010 and the movie Rio plays just fine WinDVD PRO 2010.
soon as i played the blu-ray disc in WinDVD PRO 2010 for the first time it asked for an update witch
it did a quick update and started to play.

but powerdvd 10 ultra is asking for an update to play the movie.

it must be some sort of encryption update it needs to play.

Just curious if this problem was ever resolved. I'm facing the same issue and kids are waiting patiently while hurricane Irene rolls through? Thx

i don't think they will fix the problem since they can not reprodcue the issue.

Quote: Hi,

we can not reprodcue the issue you reported the title can playback normally on PowerDVD 10 Retail & iSales.

can you please provide more information, especialy we need to know your update history (is your base version OEM or full retail build)?

I have the same issue. Can't play 'Rio' blu-ray disc, bought in Belgium. Regions: A/B
PowerDVD Version 7.3, Windows 7 64bit. Same red screen with 'your player requires an update'.

I have no problems with other discs, except for the Avatar, by the way. To play avatar i need to disconnect from internet. If i am connected to internet - all i see is black screen, it won't play (hope this helps). Also "20th century fox" disc, btw...

Hi there

Are you all using NVIDIA cards? We are still trying to get the issue fixed, so please try to provide as more info as you can to help us reproduce this. Thanks.

Same issue for me. I rented Rio Blu-ray from redbox this evening. Have rented various other new release blu-rays in the past 3 weeks and none have any issue. Rio tells me I need an update, but Cyberlink's site says i'm up to date. Please fix. Also, please send me $1.50 for the wasted redbox rental...
