Hi,

I don't have a solution and more information is required.

Please explain what disc's you're attempting to write. CD or DVD?
What mb on the disc?
What options you're selecting?
Method used to place data?
Basically provide sufficient information in a bullet point
1
2
3
fashion so the fault can be replicated.

So far I have reports of this error on a CD write.

Please give more details - allows the fault to be pinpointed.

I will only gather and pass on the information to the right person in CyberLink.

ok Dafydd here are the details.
Asus p4c800 Deluxe, Prescott 3.0ghz 800mhz HT, 2 gig ram
Visiontek ATI RADEON HD2400 Pro 256 AGP
250 gig seagate on SATA0, Lite-On LH-2B1S on SATA1
Windows XP Pro

Lite-On LH-2B1S comes packaged with Cyberlink BD Solution and
TDK Blu-ray BD-RE

Used power2go from the BD Solution install, to burn multiple files on the TDK Blu-Ray media. This fails after 13% or so.
When I burn one file at a time it works.

I appreciate your help

Jim

Edric,

here is the info you asked for - hope it helps.
I've wasted a couple days on this.

Task is Data - Blu-Ray
Trying to burn several .mt2s files saved from camcorder.
As I had said above, if I burn one at a time it seems to work, but as soon as I try more it fails. It will also fail with one file ove 200 meg.
It is also fails when I try to do a full erase on the disk.

Regards,

Jim

Dear Jim,

May I know if the defective management option is enabled while you are burning BD-RE ? Besides, did you try another BD-RE disc ( I know the BD-RE disc is so expensive now ) ?

Many thanks.

I am also getting the same error. I was trying to burn about 22MB of files in UDF 2.0 format on a BD-R disc. I increased my swap file from 2048 to the recommended of 3096 (based on posts in this forum) but this made no difference. I have already (apparent ) made one coaster of a BD-R disc, so am worried about continuing with fresh discs (even the BD-RE disc supplied with the unit).

The software was supplied with the LG Blu-Ray internal writer unit. The drive is running the latest firmware and I have already downloaded the latest software patches.

What is the best way forward from here? What further information might be needed to diagnose the problem?

Below is my log file:

Dear Edric,

Actually, Sony BWU-100A should support BD-R DL disc. However, the issue you encountered may be related to the compatibility between drive and disc. Maybe you can try Panasonic or TDK's BD-R DL disc.

Regarding the certified disc for Sony BWU-100A, you can refer to the document "BWU100A Media Compatibility Guide" on http://sony.storagesupport.com/product/34#documents .

Same problem here with an external LG BE06LU10 (firmware YE03, have not found any firmware on the net). Using a platinum BD-RE, trying to make a data BD with 13.8GB of datafiles. Using UDF 2.5, defect management enabled or disabled makes no diff. Error occurs seconds after pressing the burn-button.
Cause I don't see a solution here (besides replacing the drive....) I post here also.

Some more testing.... Nero 8 doesn't work either.
Tried a DVD+RW, no problem.
Then tried the BD-RE disc (branded LG) that came with the drive, and .... OK. Takes long to write 22.5GB (about 80 minutes!), but hey, faster media will arrive in the near future.
So it seems it is an unknown media-code issue, which I presume, new firmware of the drive will resolve.

I receive the same error code when trying to burn label side of a lableflash dvd using label print.
I only receive the message when trying to burn a jpg image to disc.
Cyber link, after much trouble shooting, claims it is the drive itself and I need to get it replaced.
I will see.

Hello to all and special to Edric,

I bought my LG Blue Ray burner a week ago. It's disapointing that i still can't write Blu Ray. I hope that the problem soon will be solved.

Here is my report.

Greetings Ton

!!! i have the same problem !!!

will finally PLEASE someone from cyberlink answer and solve the problem ???

i have a LG GGW-H20L (BD Burner) and i used the LG media that came with the burner (LG BD RE 25 GB).
i have also a 50 GB from TDK and some Sony BD-R (i dont dare use these as they are destroyed by an error. so first i need a successful burn of a BD-RE media.
on my brandnew burner i hacve yet NEVER been able to burn a BD media - always error code 0xeb020b88 !!!

i even updated the firmware to the actual YL05, but i cannot burn BD.

Cyberlink HiDef Suite (Power2Go) gives this error

06:20:41, File(cl_DVDData.cpp), Line(305)
-> Burning Fail, ErrCode: 0xeb020b88

i sent the logfile and dxdiag.txt to cyberlink support bit no answer yet.

does someone here have a clue ?

HELP !!!
